KSQ: The Kadima String Quartet

Bringing music to life, on stage and in the classroom.

The Kadima String Quartet captivates audiences with a repertoire ranging from Mozart to Led Zeppelin, and has premiered new works commissioned specifically for them—including a project with 20th Century Fox. They perform regularly across the Los Angeles area, including series like Music at the Mansion in Beverly Hills, Concerts at One, and the Kadima Conservatory Concert Music Series. Their music can also be heard in films such as The Hebrew Hammer and For a Good Time Call.

Residency + Mission

The Quartet is in residence at the Kadima Conservatory of Music, Vaughn Next Century Learning Center, and Cleveland High School. They balance professional performance with teaching, embracing their motto: “You play, and you pass it on.”

As educators, the Kadima String Quartet develops music programs throughout Southern California, partnering with institutions including Cal Poly Pomona, Los Angeles Mission College, Glendale City College, Pasadena City College, and multiple K–12 schools. They teach privately, coach chamber groups, mentor students, and arrange master classes and performance opportunities.

The Kadima Conservatory supports these efforts with three symphonic programs, a yearly Summer Music Seminar, and ten free community concerts annually. The Quartet has also performed many children’s concerts and received recognition such as the Coleman Chamber Music Outreach Concert Award.

They have received grants from the Department of Cultural Affairs, Los Angeles County Arts Commission, the California Arts Council Artists in Residence program, and the Music Man Foundation.
